Chillers, though they can be costly, are currently one of the most efficient and constructive means for cooling large facilities or providing cooling to industrial/manufacturing processes. In all honesty, if something like dehumidification is a concern, a chiller may be a better choice than other conventional cooling systems. Chillers differ in whether they are air cooled or water cooled, and range in output.

We provide repair, service, and replacement for most brands of commercial Chillers. If you're debating on whether the Chiller should be repaired or replaced, here are a few tips from us to take into consideration:

When to repair over replace

  • Not Well-Maintained If Chiller has not been serviced regularly, parts become dirty. Often, they just need to be cleaned or replaced which should solve the problem.
  • Repair Costs If repairs cost less than replacing chiller
  • Time If timing is crucial, replacing chiller takes longer then repairing in most cases.

When to replace over repair

  • Old Unit Check Manufacture's information to see how long unit is supposed to last. If your chiller has less than 10% of it is lifespan left, most likely it makes more sense to replace it.
  • Replace Costs If replacing is less expensive than repairing. Also take into consideration the units lifespan.
  • Higher-Efficiency Models Available Consider how energy efficient your current model is. Newer models may be far more energy efficient, which can save you money on overheads & Business Tax Credits may be available.
